What started as a symbolic event in Sydney over 10 years ago, is now the world’s largest grassroots movement for the environment. Earth Hour inspires millions of people to take action.

This year’s theme of #Connect2earth motivates us to reignite the special bond with this place we call home. As a responsible corporate citizen, City Property, will again be participating in Earth Hour this year and encourages staff, tenants and suppliers to join the movement. You can make a difference by switching off all non-essential lights for an hour on Saturday, 24 March between 20:30 and 21:30.

An hour may seem like a small gesture but it definitely makes an impact. Our chief electrical engineer explains that if 10 000 apartments switched off non-essential lights for one hour, the amount of energy retained would be equal to the measure of power saved if 30 shopping centres the size of Killarney Mall also switched off for one hour.
